2nd December 2025
On Tuesday 2nd December, 12 students from Monaco who participated this summer in Outward Bound programmes in England and Wales were reunited for the Outward Bound Monaco annual awards ceremony at the Yacht Club de Monaco. This evening is a celebration of Outward Bound and the positive impact its courses can have on the lives of young people.
Outward Bound Monaco was delighted to welcome to the event the students and their families, friends and members of the association. The proud students received their diplomas from the Patron of Outward Bound Monaco, H.S.H. Prince Albert of Monaco, who praised their courage and resourcefulness in the face of the challenges that an Outward Bound programme offers, and was most sincerely thanked for his ongoing support for the association.
Michael Peagram, an Ambassador of Outward Bound Monaco commented in his opening remarks:
“I have been involved with OB Monaco since its foundation 20 years ago. During that time over 500 young people have gone on our courses. My belief in the value of what OB brings to young people‘s lives is confirmed and strengthened every year when I hear at the event about the impact of their experiences, and I say to all who went on a course “You will never forget it!”
Well-known Monaco journalist Nancy Heslin, the Master of Ceremonies for the evening, interviewed a number of the students at the ceremony and commented:
“When I saw the videos, and spoke to these young people, I was totally in awe of their amazing achievements.”
The evening was a proud moment for the students, aged 10 to 17 years old, who gave time, energy and commitment this summer to do something which tested their limits but also rewarded them with a sense of achievement as they abandoned their telephones and social media to overcome new challenges and make new friends for life.

NO FINISH LINE 2026 🏃♀️🇲🇨
What an unforgettable week on the 2025 No Finish Line track!
The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic — full of energy, laughter, and a sense of shared purpose. Together we clocked up a record number of kilometres – 3693km to be exact – coming in 18th overall, and all in support of a truly great cause. It was inspiring to see everyone pushing themselves (some literally! Collin and David), encouraging each other, and celebrating every lap.
We were lucky to have such a dedicated and spirited team. The sense of community out on the track was something special, with people cheering, chatting, and connecting throughout the event. A big shout-out to Darius and to our new Lithuanian friends, Aidas and Marius. Their contribution added a wonderful new dynamic to the team the incredible number of kms they clocked up.
Here’s to an amazing event — and to even more success ahead!
On Wednesday 4th December, 15 students from Monaco who participated this summer in Outward Bound programmes in England and Wales were reunited for the Outward Bound Monaco annual awards ceremony at the Yacht Club de Monaco.
Outward Bound Monaco was delighted to welcome Lord Sebastian Coe, family, friends, patrons and members of the association to the event. The proud students received their diplomas from the Patron of Outward Bound Monaco, H.S.H. Prince Albert of Monaco, who praised their courage and resourcefulness in the face of the challenges that an Outward Bound programme offers.
Sarah O’Connor, President of Outward Bound Monaco commented:
“The aim of Outward Bound is to help young people believe they can achieve more than they thought possible. We are not talking about aspirations, but about belief in what you can do based on physical experience. Outward Bound takes young people out of their comfort zones and on adventures in wild places. It presents young people with challenges which help them to know themselves.
This evening has been a celebration of Outward Bound and the positive impact its courses can have on the lives of young people. I would like to thank all our supporters and helpers who have made this possible and our Patron H.S.H. Prince Albert of Monaco for once again taking the time to meet the students and present their certificates and also Lord Sebastian Coe for joining us and supporting Outward Bound.”
The evening was a proud moment for the students, aged 10 to 17 years old, who gave time, energy and commitment this summer to do something which tested their limits but also rewarded them with a sense of achievement when they overcame new challenges.
